Duncan is about to come to Macbeth's house where his wife already is, and Macbeth is on the way. She uses supernatural powers to strip herself of feminine qualities and prepares herself for the murder of Duncan which she plans to do herself. -

Banquo's ghost appears to Macbeth during a dinner party and he is sent into a fenzy of terror, his wife tries to hide his odd behavior but people start to queston his sanity -

He goes back to the three withces and they show him three apparitions. The first one is warns him against Macduff, the second one tells him to fear no man born of woman, and the third one prophesizes that he will fall only when Birnam Wood comes to Dunsinane castle. -

Lady Macbeth begins sleep walking, and when she sees a doctor she tells about her guiltyness and says that she cannot wash the blood off of her hands. -
