Macbeth doesnt want to kill Duncan but is convinced by his wife to do so. -

Whilst he sleeps duncan is murdered by Macbeth. This act inspires Macbeth's transition from a calm character into an insane sociopath. -

Duncan is found dead and the bloody daggers are found on the guards bodies. Macbeth then kills the guards as vengeance for Duncans murder. -
