Double Double, Boil and Trouble
The witches meet in a health, organising where and when they will meet Macbeth and Banquo to deliver their prophecies. -

Prophecies
Banquo and Macbeth are riding home from battle on horseback when they come across a health which three witches emerge from. The witches greet the two men and tell them their prophecies, Macbeth is told that he will be soon be crowned Thane of Cawdor as a reward for his bravery and courage in battle and later King of Scotland. Banquo is told that he will not be rewarded but his sons ad descendants will be. He is confused, Macbeth is jealous of Banquo. -

Rewards
After King Duncan hears of Banquo and Macbeth’s valiant bravery in battle he awards Macbeth with the title of Thane of Cawdor after the old Thane turns out to be a traitor. -

King Duncan's Visit
King Duncan visits Macbeth’s castle and Macbeth and Lady Macbeth throw a big feast in honor of him. Lady Macbeth thinks that her husband would make an even worthier king of Scotland and she tries to convince him to kill King Duncan. -

Plans
Macbeth and his wife devise a plan to murder Duncan. That night at the feast they make sure everyone is well liquored and asleep before Macbeth goes into Duncan’s room and murders him with a dagger, after the deed is done he takes the dagger to Lady Macbeth who frantically hides it among the sleeping servants to try and frame them. An almost unbearable guilt follows Macbeth after this is done. -

Duncan is Discovered Dead
The next morning MacDuff and Macbeth find Kind Duncan dead, Macbeth is overly dramatic about this and in an attempt to cover his tracks murders all of the servants. For this act of "loyalty" he is crowned King. -

Malcom Flees
Malcom is very paranoid that his fate could match his fathers and flees the country to England, there he acts on his suspicions and plots to kill Macbeth -

Ambition Grows
Banquo makes the realization that if Macbeth's prophecies have come true then his could as well. Macbeth feels threatened by this and feels that he must murder his friend and his child to protect his position on the throne. -

The Feast
At a large feast thrown at the Macbeth castle, Macbeths guilty conscience starts to get the best of him. He begins to see the ghost of Banquo sitting amoung the guests at the table.He makes quite a large scene and most of the guests leave quite shaken up. -

Another Visit to the Witches
Macbeth feels he needs reassurance so he goes to visit the witches who give him three more prophecies-Beware MacDuff-Nobody born of a woman will ever harm Macbeth-Maccbeth will never be repeated until Birnam Wood marches to battle at Dunsiane Hill. With these prophecies Macbeth recovers his confidence. -

Lady Macbeth's Death
A doctor is called to examine Lady Macbeth as a servant reported witnessing her sleepwalking and talking and is concerned. When observed it is clear that Lady Macbeth is trying to wash blood from her hands and keeps mumbling about a murder she seemingly had a part in. The doctor diagnoses her as suicidal, a short time later she takes her life. -

MacDuff's Army Marches
By this point MacDuff has formed an army and they are prepared for battle. When travellng to Macbeth's castle they cut down trees from Birnam Wood to camoflouge themselves as they approach. -

Macbeth's Fall
Macbeth, knowing that no one "not born of woman" can harm him waits for MacDuff and his army inside of his castle without a defense plan. It is not until MacDuff arrives that he discovers that MacDuff was born of caesarian birth. The two men then fight to the death, it ends wth MacDuff slaying Macbeth and decapitating him. -

MacDuff is Crowned King of Scotland
After this string of events and Macbeths defeat, MacDuff is crowned king of Scotland for his victory.
