Lucien Debray and The Count

  • Lucien Meets The Count

    The first time Debray is in contact with The Count. Lucien Debray is a tall, fair young man with a pale face, clear grey eyes, and thin, compressed lips. He is a private secratary for to the Minister of the Interior. When Lucien meets Dantes, Dantes is introduced as The Count of Monte Cristo. Debray first thought there was no such person as The Cout of Monte Cristo.
  • The Pair of Dappled Greys

    After Mme Danglars exclaims that her two horses are missing, Lucien points out to her that there are two of the same horses attatched to the Count's carriage. He did this on purpose to get Mme mad at Monsier Danglars, who sold the horses to the Count at thirty-two thousand francs.
  • The Stocks

    As Albert, the Count, and Debray were at Albert's house, and the subject of Mme Danglars came about. The Count told Debray to tell Madame Danglars that she lost one hundred thousand francs from her stocks, found out through a telegraph from King Henry the fourth.
  • The Fight

    As Lucien Debray goes to talk to Madame Danglars of the stocks and such, Monsieur Danglars makes him leave and reveals to Mme that he has costed Danglars seven hundred thousand francs due to his false telegraph.
  • The Duel and Apology

    Debray witnesses the attempted duel and apology between Albert and The Count.
  • The Separation

    Lucien learns that Danglars leaves Mme, and Lucien knows that it's the Counts fault for bankrupting him.
