    Seven Years War

    The Seven Years War was a battle between the British and the French to claim the 13 colonies. During this war, many British loyalists turned against the British to fight for their own freedom, these people were called patriots.
  • Battle On The Plains Of Abraham

    The Battle On The Plains Of Abraham was an attack in Quebec on French Troops (lead by Marquis de Montcalm) by British Troops (lead by General James Wolfe). This short attack was quickly won by the British, leading the french to surrender to the British. Both Marquis de Montcalm and General James Wolfe died due to wounds they sustained during battle.
  • Treaty Of Paris Of 1763

    The Treaty Of Paris ended the Seven Years War between France & Britain. France was defeated, and Britain claimed Canada formally with the Treaty Of Paris.
  • Boston Tea Party

    The Boston Tea Party was an event leading up to the American Revolution. This was when American Patriots, disguised as Native Americans, dumped chests of tea overboard into the Boston Harbour. The tea was sent by the East India Company in the ships. The reason for throwing the tea into the harbour was because they were protesting against taxation. The British rejected the tea due to the taxation, this made the Patriots mad and expressed this by throwing 342 chests of tea into the harbour.
  • American Revolution

    At the beginning of the revolution, rebels attacked Canada, specifically Quebec. The 13 colonies gained Independence from Britain, even though the American rebels were defeated in Canada. From this event began an emigration of Loyalists to come to Canada.
