World War II was in full rage, so Ernest decided to go and report on the war. He got in a car accident and, while in the hospital, met Mary Welsh. They got married later in the year. -
The Old Man and the Sea
It was in 1952 that Ernest Hemingway wrote one of his most famous books, The Old Man and the Sea. This book was very popular and sold out very quickly. -

Ernest Hemingway won the Nobel Prize in 1954 for Literature. -
