Miles doesn't want to have a going away party but his mom makes him one any way. Only 2 people show up (his friends) and they only stayed for a bit. He then sits with his parents for the rest of the night. -

Miles parents drop him off and he unpacks his stuff in his new room. A little while later he meets his new room mate, chip martin, and they got to know eachother. He told Miles to call him Colonel and that he was going to call him Pudge. He meets Alaska and then the colonel tells him the story about Paul and Marya and then tells him not to be a rat. He later spent time talking to Alaska and she began talking about the Labyrinth. -

Pudge meets Takumi and the colonel explains how he hates the weekday warriors even though his girlfriend is one. Then 3 guys captured him in the middle of the night, then taped his arms and threw him in the lake. When the colonel finds out they taped him he was angry. -

The colonel realizes that the guys who threw pudge in the lake, peed in his shoes. In their religions class, Pudge showed the colonel one of the guys that was with Kevin. -

The Colonel and Sara get into a fight over his poorly ironed shirt. Later they found out from Sara that Kevin and the other two guys peed in the colonels shoes and taped Miles before throwing him into the lake because they thought the colonel ratted out Marya and Paul. -

In Dr Hyde's class, Miles gets kicked out for staring out the window so Alaska yells back at the teacher getting herself kicked out as well. Miles finds out Takumi can rap really well. -

Miles is convinced to go to the basketball game even though he hates basketball because there is air conditioning. At the game the team had a cheer off and colonel gets kicked out of his 37 game for yelling at the players. -

Dr Hyde pulled MIles to the side after class and told him that he only kicked him out because he is trying to help him. -

Alaska took a bunch of friends off campus to study with them. On the car ride there, a girl named Lara had to sit on Miles' lap. -

Alaska tells Miles about how she chose her own name because she saw it on a map. They end up holding hands and she also tells him that she would like to become a teacher for kids with autism. -

"The Eagle" catches Miles, Takumi, colonel and Alaska in the forest but he only sees Alaska and colonel smoking. He tells them that they have to go to Jury the next day. -

At the trial Alaska and colonel said they were the only ones smoking and took all the blame. They had to do ten work hours and Takumi and Miles weren't punished because they lied to protect them. -

Alaska is going to set up Miles and Lara. On Friday they are going on a triple date with Alaska, Jake, Takumi, Colonel and Sara. -

For the triple and a half date they went to the basketball game. Miles ended up getting a concussion after he was hit in the head with the ball. He barfed all over Lara. That same night, Sara broke up with the colonel. -

The next few days it rained non-stop. The colonel stayed in there room basically the entire time because of the break up. Later on Miles finds out there is something wrong with Alaska but she wont tell him. -

The same three guys who kidnapped Miles had flooded Alaska's room and now she is really mad. -

Takumi tells Miles that the one who ratted out Marya was Alaska but colonel doesnt know and cant find out. She was caught with a bottle of wine and the only way for her to not be expelled was for her to rat out people, so she did. -

Alaska convinces Miles and he then convinces his parents that he should stay there for Thanksgiving. Miles decides that he'd rather go home for Thankgiving but his parents have already booked a flight to England so he had to stay. -

After everyone leaves, Miles and Alaska go down to the field and drink some wine. They talk about how there is always suffering. -

Alaska and Miles snuck into Kevins room. Inside they looked around and he noticed that he really likes his hair. Alaska desides that they need to hit them where it hurts, their hair. -

Miles and Alaska went into peoples room and found porn and watched it. The whole time Alaska was complaining about how the way men treat women isnt nice. -

The colonel's mom, Dolores, invited Alaska and Miles back o their trailor and they celebrated Thanksgiving together. -

They all had a delicious supper at the trailor while they talked about what they are thankful for. -

After Alaska bought some alcohol her and Miles drank some wine together. She started crying because she thinks she messes everything up. She also told Miles that she told colonel about her ratting out Marya and now he cant trust her any more. -
Christmas
Miles spent christmas with his family and even though he ditched them for thanksgiving, they still felt guily. He was sad when he had to leave them but he was glad he had a family. -
8 days before
They decided thet to get back Kevin, they were going to do a pre-prack so he doesn't see the real prank coming. Miles feels discluded because Alaska and colonel are making the prank without him. -
3 days before
Alaska, the colonel, Miles, Takumi and Lara all lied to the Eagle about where they were going and went to the barn for the prank. Takumi and Miles set off firecrackers behind the classroom the Eagle was in and he came out and while he chased them, Alaska and Colonel sent reports home to 23 of the rich kids parents saying they failed. Lara but blue hair die in Kevin and his two side kicks hair products. -

Miles was left alone to finish his religion paper since colonel and Alaska had to create a prank. Miles says in his paper that we believe in after life because we can't bear not to. -
2 days before
They all hangout in the barn getting drunk and playing games. Alaska tells them about the time when she was young and her mom died infront of her and she didnt do anything about it. Her dad blamed her for her mom's death. Miles ends up kissing Lara and then asks her to be his girlfirend and she says yes. -
1 day before
They all woke up hungover and went back to their rooms after checking back in with the Eagle. -
the last day
Miles gets some action from Lara but then also makes out with Alaska later on while she was drunk. He heard Alaska crying and she asked him and the colonel to distract Eagle so she could go somewhere. She wouldn't tell them where she was going but she said she forgot something and she was really upset. -
the day after
They are waken up by the Eagle coming into their room saying they needed to come down to the gym. He anounces that Alaska has died in a car accident and Chip and Miles think it was their fault. Miles is also upset because he will never know what Alaska's last words were. -
2 days after
Many people come and visit Miles to try and make him feel better but nothing worked. He had a dream that Alaska came back naked and her body was ice cold. She oozed sludge from her fracture on him and he shoved her off of him. He woke up and fell on the floor. He can't stop thinking about her meaning he obviously had strong feelings for her. -
4 days after
Chip comes in the room and lies next to Miles in bed because he is so cold. He had walked 84 miles out in the cold. He keeps dreaming about her being totally different and he is starting to forget what she really looked like. Chip said he let Alaska go that night becasue he was tired of her moodiness. -
6 days after
Miles, Chip, Lara and Takumi all went to Alaska's funeral. Her casket was closed and when MIles asked her father why he said that when Alaska's Mom died, she said to him "Don't ever let them see me dead, Daddy". While Miles and Chip were at her casket alone, Miles said that he loved her and Chip said sorry and she deserved a better friend. -

While Chip and Miles went through Alaska's room, Miles found her book called "The General in His Labyrinth" and looked at the page where she underlined "How will I ever get out of this Labyrinth". He then realized that she had recently writen something that said "straight and fast". They began to think that maybe she wrote that and then ran into the police car on purpose to escape but they decided she wouldnt so that. -

Classes started again and nothing was the same. Everything was quieter with her gone. In religion class Mr. Hyde wrote what Alaska thought was the most important question to be asked,"How will we ever get out of this Labyrinth of suffering?". Then when other students that didn't even like Alaska talked about how much they missed her Chip got really upset. -
9 days after
Chip skipped class becasue he is trying to figure out the whole truth behind Alaska's death. MIles gets a bit upset because he doesn't want to know what happened. Chip says he has a plan to figure it out and he wants to know if she meant to kill herself. -
13 days after
Miles and Chip walk to the police station to talk to the cop that Alaksa hit. All they learned was that Alaska had Jake's white tulips with her. They argue for a bit but then agree that they are going to figure out what happened to Alaska and if she actually killed herself. -
14 days after
MIles and Chip continue trying o solve the mystery by looking at clues that someone is going to kill themselves. The only 2 that applied to her was loosing her mother and drinking a lot lately. They decide that it was an accident but then wonder why she didn't even try to avoid the car. Holly Moser comes to them and says thhat she thinks Alaska was flickering her lights trying to talk to her in Morse code. This upset Chip and Miles thought she must've been pretty stupid. -

Miles and Chip get into a big fight because MIles didnt like the idea of him talking to Jake. Whle MIles is alone he realizes that Alaska has changed his life and now she's gone. He wants to know more becasue he needs to know if she left him on purpose or not. Later they made up with eachother and Chip tells him that he will call Jake another time after they figure out other information. -

After promising Takumi they would tell him everything the next day, Miles and Chip went to steal the breathalyzer from the Eagle. MIles disracted him while Chip stole it. Chip then got drunk until the breathalyzer said he was as drunk as Alaska. They did tests and figured out that even if Alaska was that drunk, she still could have avoided the cop car. -

Takumi and Miles went out to lunch together and caught up with eachother. Miles hadn't talked to him much because he still thinks its his fault for Alaska's death. -

While Chip calls Jake, Miles tells Takumi that he kissed Alaska and he says he is ok with it. Chip says that Jake called becasue it was there anniversary and they just talked normally for a while. Then he said she started freaking out and said she would talk to him later. From what Jake said, all they figured out was that Alaska was most likely not going to Jakes becasue she would have told him first. -

Miles is begining to care less and less about school and his marks. After his Jury he goes back to his room where Chip is telling Takumi everything like he promised. Takumi was okay with it. He said it was his fault too. Chip announces that he is going to call Jake and ask him questions and they all agree its a good idea but to only find out stuff that will help them. -

Miles bumped into Lara and she gave him a dirty look. That was the first time they had talked in a month. He wanted to want to talk to her but she couldn't give him any answers and he loved Alasksa. -
45 days after
Takumi and Miles had gotten their results from their precalc quiz and they weren't good. Without Alaksa around, there was no one to help them. This made them miss her even more. They stop off at the "We Cater to Your Spiratual Needs" and MIles went in and bought the cigarettes. -

MIles finally talked to Lara and they worked things out. He told her what happened and they went down to the smoke hole with Chip and Takumi. They tried making a list of facts suggesting Alaska committed suicide but it got them no where. They decided that what they need is to figure out where she was going. -

Miles still hasn't figured out anything else about Alaska but instead he has been focusing on school. In class they talked about how everything that comes together falls apart. MIles thinks that maybe this has something to do with what happened and this makes him think that one day no one will know he or Alaska ever existed. -

The school decided to build a playground in memory of Alaska.But Miles and the rest decided to pull a prank for Alaska since she loved them. It was a prank created by Alaska called "Subverting the Partriarchal Paradigm. -

While Miles was talking on the phone to his Mom he found something that could help him solve Alaska's death. He found a flower that she drew while she was talking to Jake the night she died. He told Chip that Alaska must have looked at the flower and have remembered something. chp wasn't too excited because they still wont know what she remembered. -

After lots of planning, Chip finally introduces the plan for their prank to Miles, Lara and Takumi. The only thing said about their plan is that they need a stripper and Miles has to work some magic with his dad. -

Miles calls his dad and asks if he can pretend to be the speaker at his schools speaker day. He agrees so Miles and Longwell Chase went to the Eagles house and told him his dad's number. He told the Eagle that it was Dr. William Morse and that he was an expert in adolescent understanding of sexuality. -

For the prank they got a male stripper to talk on stage in front of the school and then start stripping. It went erll and everything worked. When they got back to their room the Eagle came in and said that he knew it was them. He told them never to do anything like that again and it seemed almost like Alaska did it. With that he left them to celebrate. -

It is summer again and when Miles walks into the room Chip mentions Janurary 10 which is the day Alaska died. They remember Alaska saying something about her mom taking her to the zoo January 9. They suddenly realize that she must have forgotten about her mom and then freaked out. While in the car they think she was mad at herself for not calling 911 and forgetting about her mom so she killed herself while heading to her mom's grave. -

Chip and Miles decide to sneak out and drive to the place where Alaska died. When they pass Chip accelerates and they see all the broken glass. When they park the car they begin crying at the realization that they were still alive. -
136 days after
Miles gets a letter from Takumi saying that he saw Alaska the nigth she died while she was looking for flowers and he let her go too. Miles concludes that there is no escape from the Labyrinth and when you die, you don't disappear. Alaska is still here because energy cant disappear, it can only change form and shape. In the end Miles forgives Alaska for forgetting about him as she killed herself and he knows she forgives him for all he has done. THE END! -

For their final exam they have to answer Alaska's question "How will youever get out of this Labyrinth of suffering?". When Miles asked Chip what he thinks about this question he said "After all this time, it still seems to me like straight and fast is the only way out - but i choosethe Labyrinth. The Labyrinth blows, but I choose it".
