This event was when Germany took over Manchuria right after Mukden Incident. This event made the League Of Nations not as strong. -

The Tri-Partite Agreement in a legal document that has effect on the buyer, seller, and bank. This was an agreement between three different parties. -
Rape of Nanjing
The rape of Nanjing was very bad because people were forced to do whatever they were told and if they did not, they were killed. People would be raped while there babies were killed and if they tried to do anything, they would be killed. This outraged many countries and made them put more into the war effort. -
Anschluss
This event was a German plan to bring other German speaking countries to be a part of Germany. Part of this requires Austria to be annexed. This is important because this is some of the first offensive actions that Hitler does and it shows that he can violate the treaty and nobody will care. -
Munich Pact
This event started WW2 and gave Germany the German speaking part of Czechoslovakia to Germany. This gave Germany more land and power without losing men. -
Kristallnacht
This was a time where the Nazis went around and killed a bunch of Jews. They killed almost 100 Jews and this helped the Nazi party come to power. -
Non-Aggression PACT
Germany made a non-aggression pact with the Soviet Union so that made them get a lot further in the war. They made this so that they did not have to fight a two front war. -
Invasion of Poland
The invasion of Poland was when Germany takes over Poland and starts WW2. Hitler was still testing how much he could violate the treaty without getting caught, and he said that this invasion was a ¨defensive action.¨ -
Evacuation of Dunkirk
This event was when a lot of Allied soldiers left the Dunkirk harbor. This was important because it took the British army out of the war when the Germans invaded. -
Liberation of Paris
When Hitler took over France at the beginning of WW2, he got the capital, Paris too. When the U.S. and all of our allies came back in on Germany, we freed France with it. This freed families, kids, and babies. -
The Lend Lease Act
This act said that the U.S. could aid other countries when they are in need. This is very important because without this we would not have been attacked by Germany and entered WW2. -
Operation Barbarossa
This was a secret name for when Germany invaded the Soviet Union. Hitler over calculated his power to take over the soviet union after the non-aggression act. Without this, Germany could have won WW2 because the Soviet Union would not have gotten involved. -
Pearl Harbor
Pearl Harbor was a very important event in WW2. Without it, the U.S. would not have gotten into the war. This event was when Japan bombed part of Hawaii with airplanes and took out a lot of U.S. ships and goods. It also killed about 3000 Americans. -
Battle of Midway
This was a very big battle in WW2 that the U.S. won. It took place six months after pearl harbor and set the stage for the U.S. to be an effective fighting force in WW2 -
D- Day
D-Day was a very big turning point in WW2. This is when the allies of the U.S. went to a very heavily guarded part of Germany. There plan was to throw more people at Germany than they can kill and it worked. -
Battle of The Bulge
The battle of the bulge was a very big German offensive and was the biggest battle fought by the Americans in WW2. This battle was important because Germany spent about 100 thousand troops and used about 1000 tanks. This attack did not work as planned and at the end, Germany spend a lot of troops and money for not a lot of gain. -
Hitlerś Suicide
Hitler had been doing very good in WW2 until D-Day. A couple of months later Berlin and the Nazis were surrounded. Hitler knew this and he committed suicide. -
Surrender of Germany
This was one of the most important events because when Germany surrendered, Japan was the only one fighting, and that caused the Allies to win the war. -
Hiroshiman/Nagasaki
This is one of the most important events in WW2 because it instantly ended the war. What happened was the U.S. dropped two atom bombs on Japan which was the last country that we were fighting against, and the immediately surrendered. Without this, hundreds of thousands of more casualties would have happened.
