    The day I was born
I was born on May 13th, 1990 (which was actually Mother's Day) in Centerville, Virginia. I was born in to a family with my parents married and one older sister, so I believe these two factors alone were great for my emotional development. n May 13th, 1990, which was actually Mother's day!
  • First School

    First School
I attended Centerville Elementary for kinder, first and second grade. It is interesting living on the east coast for the first few months of my life and then moving to the west coast. It is something I can compare as an adult.
  • Moved to Phoenix, Arizona

    Moved to Phoenix, Arizona
My family moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1998 because of my fathers job. It was not a very hard transition for me because I was only eight years old. For my sister however, it had a bigger impact on her because she was starting high school and I remember her being upset because she had to move away from a life she was familiar and comfortable with. I think the move had a positive influence on my life because I had great childhood here.
  • Starting School in Arizona

    Starting School in Arizona
Lagos was the first school I attended in Phoenix, Arizona for one year. It is always difficult to start at a new school, espeically when i knew we would be moving in a year. I think the move from our apartment to our house was bigger than our move from virginia because I had formed friendships at our first home, and I thought it would be difficult to keep in touch when i moved to a new neighborhood, which it was.
  • Moving to a new neighborhood

    Moving to a new neighborhood
When our house was done being built we moved in to a new house, in a new neighborhood, from an apartment. So I had to switch schools and I attended Cerritos for the rest of my elementary years. It was not vrey difficult to make friends at my age and i loved my brand new room. This year i met my best friend that i am still best friends with today.
  • Middle and High school

    Middle and High school
After my family moved to our new neighborhood, I finished elementary school at Cerritos, I then attneded Altadena for middle school and in 2004 I began high school at Desert Vista. During these times I had great support from my family to do well in school and figure out what the next years after high school would hold for me.
  • Graduation from High School

    Graduation from High School
School was not very easy for me, it took me a long time to study and to pass, so graduating from high school was very important to me and a big accomplishment in my life. That moment was definitely a boost for my self-esteem knowing that I could accomplish that.
  • Cosmetology School

    Cosmetology School
When I finished high school I knew I wanted to attend hair school and beocme a hair stylist. I had great support of my family and /i attended school at Toni and Guy hair dressing academy for 11 months and graduated and recieved my license in cosmetology. This had to be one of the most eye opening events of my life because I realized how well I could perform in school and this helped me decided to got to college.
  • Back to School

    Back to School
In the summer of 2010 I decided I would like to attended college while I was still young, this is when I decided I wanted to become an educator. I start taking a few classes at a time with the help of my father to get me back in the swing of things. This, at times, was a very overwhelming time for me, but as I progressed I became a better student than i ever thought I would be and I graduated from CGCC with my associates in december 2013 on the Honor society.
  • Becoming a preschool teacher

    Becoming a preschool teacher
I was offered a postion as a teacher at Grace Garden Christian Preschool. This was a great oppertunity for me to work with the age group I am interested in teaching. I got to use a lot of the academic knowledge I have learned in school and apply it to my classroom at work so it was been a great oppertunity for me to see the two work hand in hand and confirm I am on the right path in my career.
  • Starting ASU

    Starting ASU
