Looking for parts for dads truck
The motor in dads 1972 Chevrolet Silverado, dad couldn't get it running right. So he had me looking up trying to find a motor for a truck the same as his so that it would be like factory. We ended up finding a motor in a old ambulance that was for sale. So dad went and got the motor and him and my uncle pulled the motor out of his truck and out in the one he went and got and the truck ran a lot better after that. -
Dads selling his truck
Dad decided he was going to sell his truck. So i was looking up to see what trucks like his was going for. Well they was going for about $5000 through $6000. Because his didn't have the original motor. When dad bought the truck it was a one owner truck. But dad sold it for like $2500. He didn't listen to mom about selling it at the price they was going for. -
When I got my truck
When I got my truck, it was after my pawpaw died. The truck was originally his. My dad, his son, bought it for him. As soon as i got my truck I got out the manual for the truck and read all the features that came with the truck from the factory. I am going to restore the truck because that is what pawpaw wanted to do with the truck but never got the chance to do. -
Me and dad got my truck running right
Me and dad was working on my truck and dad couldn't figure out why it wasn't running right. So I looked it up and ordered a new intake, new plugs, new plug wires, new gas lines, new brake pads, new distributor, and new brake lines. When everything came in dd asked why i got so much and i told him about where all the break lines and gas lines was rotted and it needed new brakes and he understood. He cleaned the carburetor put on the new parts, then it started up. Just had to adjust the timing. -

Finding a transmission for dads truck
Dads truck the transmission was basically out. Dad had me looking up and reading about the truck so that i could help him find a new transmission. He never could find one cheap enough so he kept driving the truck the way it was -
Dad traded in his truck and got a new one
Dad took his old truck too the dealership and traded it in and got a 2012 GMC sierra. It was a really nice truck. They would only give us $1000 for the old truck. But dad took it because of the transmission. the dealership didn't know about the transmission when they bought the truck. -
The motor in dads truck blew up
Dads truck was acting up. About 2 months after it started acting up the motor stopped working. Dad took the motor to the dealership and they couldn't find anything wrong with the motor. So dad had me looking up and reading about the truck. So he could find a new motor that was pretty cheap. I found one for about $2500-$5500. Dad had to go get that motor and take the motor out of his truck and take it back to them. But dad never got to finish putting the motor together before he went to jail. -
Finding numbers matching body panels for my truck
Here about two months ago I had to search up body panels for my truck. Had to go read the manual like mom told me to do first. Didn't find anything. so I had to go find the numbers on the truck then search up how much they would cost. Saving up money now to buy the body panels I need for my truck to restore it. -
My dad went to jail
Here about four or five months ago my dad went to jail. I have been reading up about ways to help get him out. It has been hard. But i have learned a lot about the different parts of the law. I guess since dads been jail I have actually learned a lot just from trying to help dad get out of jail.
