  • the first telegraph cable across the Atlantic Ocean

    an undersea cable running under the Atlantic Ocean used for telegraph communications,it occur in August 16,1858. Cyrus West Field and the Atlantic Telegraph Company were behind the construction of the first transatlantic telegraph cable. Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom to President of the United States James Buchanan. Foilhommerum Bay, Valentia Island in western Ireland to Heart's Content in eastern Newfoundland.Because it was the first telecomunnication that crossed between two continents.

    “On the Origin of Species” by Charles Darwin was published on 24 November 1859. It was shown how all the species comes from the same branches and that it has an explanation.

    The Suez Canal, stretching 101 miles from the Mediterranean to the Red Sea, was officially openned on 17 November 1869. It created a more direct route for shipping between Europe and Asia. This made easier and cheaper to trade and transport needs.

    during the New Imperialism period and coincided with Germany's sudden emergence as an imperial power.It occur between the years 1884 and 1885.It happenned in Berlin and there was involved Germany,Austria-Hungary,Belgium,Denmark,Spain,United States,Frances,United Kingdom,Italy,Netherlands,Portugal.Russia,Sweden-Norway and the Ottoman Empire.It was significant because the talked about the regulated European colonization and trade in Africa.

    Marconi transmitted across the English Channel from Wimereux near Boulogne, France to South Foreland Lighthouse near Dover, England.It occur in 1899,England. Guglielmo Marconi lodged the first wireless telegraphy patent that was used in this event.From that event,people started doing larger travels,the next one was in the Atlantic,that´s wy it was important.

This was the first model of plane and the invention that made easier travel from one place to other in a shorter time than in car, train, ship... lalso was useful to travel between countries and continents.
