Birth
Mia is born into a family with five other children. She is loved by all but forms a special bond with her mother. In Erikson's first stage, trust vs mistrust, the crisis involves learning to trust the main caregiver, or have trust issues later in life and have doubts about future. -
Adolescence
Mia, now a 12 year old, starts middle school. She has a group of close friends that she spends time with in school and at church activities. She loves reading books and has great imagination. In Erikson's fifth stage of identity vs identity confusion, the adolescent needs to figure out who they are in their culture, so they don't become confused about their identity. -
Wedding
Mia gets married to Walter and they celebrate their love for each other with a beautiful outside wedding. Erikson's sixth stage is about crisis that includes intimacy vs isolation. People that do not get married or have a significant other in their lives are lonely.
