During her 6th year she no longer was just a witch who supported the dark arts, she began to verbally support what Voldemort was doing. Even though Hogwarts was viewed as a "safe place" for those who opposed the Dark Lord, she still enjoyed making the goodie-goodies pay.

Katherine and Andrew kept a low profile and out of Ministry attention for the most part. A few slip ups on Andrew's part involved some clean-up but it was a period of keeping their activities off Ministry radar.

Katherine was openly supportive of the uprising of the Dark Arts. Upon the return of Lord Voldemort her support was known.

Upon the death of Giacomo's parents and her good family friends, Katherine was named sole guardian (a final insult from the Corettis against Andrew). Giacomo was 15.

After having a role in plotting the mass-breakout of prisoners from Azkaban, Katherine was invited to participate in the planning of more attacks and DE events. She still was not given the mark as her role was mainly behind the scenes, avoiding the actual battles until the end.

Defeat of the Dark Lord. Having been seen at the battle, charges were brought against Katherine as proof was gathered.

Andrew and Katherine left the UK before charges could be taken to the system and in the chaos surrounding the round up of all the known DE, they managed to empty their accounts and escape to Italy.

Facing charges of DE actions and support, the questionable death of her husband, and fleeing charges, Katherine attended her second trial in her life. She was acquitted of all charges despite the best attempts by the Ministry. They had no proof other than loosely based testimonies.

After her acquital, the Blake estate that had been seized (that in her and Andrew's names) was restored to her.
