The Mysterious Affair at Styles is completed but no one wishes to publish it! It is turned down by 6 publishers before finally being published three years later by The Bodley Head.

Agatha's beloved mother, Clarissa, passes away after suffering a bout of Bronchitis.

Agatha is granted a divorce from her husband, Archie, He will later marry the woman he was having an affair with.

Agatha ventures into radio
Agatha collaborates with other crime writers, for a popular BBC radio programme called behind the Screen. Her first radio episode is called, Something is Missing and sadly no longer survives.

Much to the disapproval of her older sister Madge, Agatha marries Max. They choose to marry in Scotland.
