Life of a Water Droplet

  • Stone Age- 4392 BC

    Stone Age- 4392 BC
During the Stone Age I was a snowflake sitting on a bright yellow sunflower. I saw stone structures and homo habilis. It was a strange sight to see. Eventually, spring came and I was returned to my liquid state. I then transpirated, returning to the air as water vapour.
  • Discovery of Electricity

    Discovery of Electricity
I was in my gas state as a cloud when a lightning storm began. I looked down and saw 2 men. The older one was holding a kite attached to many strings, a metal key and a strange looking jar. It began to rain, and the men ran into a nearby barn. I fell into a puddle and became surface water. When the puddle got too full, I flowed as a runoff.
  • Miracle at Niagara

    Miracle at Niagara
It had just rained over Niagara Falls, dropping me into the Horseshoe Falls. Suddenly, I heard loud screams and crying. A boy was being swept away by the powerful force of gravity! His parents stood as close to the edge of the falls as they could without falling. They cried his name and screamed for help. The boy, Roger was rescued when a Maid of The Mist boat threw him a life ring. I evaporated soon after his rescue and became mist in the air.
  • Haiti Earthquake

    Haiti Earthquake
I was floating in the Carribean Sea when it happened. The ground started to shake violently. I heard screams of suprise and terror from the shore. The town of Leogane was the center of an earthquake! Many people did not survive whether the cause was the flying debris, unsustainable conditions or the cholera outbreak that followed. I was lucky and was not contaminated by the disease, instead becoming a gas once again.
  • Japan Tsunami

    Japan Tsunami
I was in my liquid state. I had been washed away by the enormous wave that had occured after the earthquake. The wave was made up by millions of my fellow water droplets. We crashed down the streets of Japan, destroying everything in our path. I felt slightly guilty for the destruction, but what could I do? I was powerless against the wave. The earthquake led to a series of unfortunate events. The earthquake caused the tsunami, which caused the nuclear meltdown etc.
