Minamoto Yoritomo creates a new government in 1192, where samurai would rule Japan for 700 years. -
The birth of Miyamoto Musashi
Musashi was born in 1584, and was known as one of the greatest and most famous swordsman. He was a teacher of the Way of the Sword, while also being a ronin. Musashi won all 61 of his duels. -
The Invasion of Korea
The Japanese tried to invade Korea to eventually invade China in 1592. Another attempt was made in, 1597 but neither were successful. Some famous samurai generals, that were included in these invasions were:- Katō Kiyomasa

In the 1600's master less samurai were called, ronin. They caused minor issues. -
The Battle of Sekigahara
The Battle of Sekigahara was the most important battle, in the history of Feudal Japan. It took place on October 21, 1600. -
The End of the Battle of Sekigahara
The Tokugawa Shogunate defeats the Toyotomi clan at a summer campaign, in the Siege of Osaka, in 1616. This also marks the end of the war period in Feudal Japan -
The death of Miyamoto Musashi
Miyamoto Musashi died on June 13, 1645. -
The end of the Samurai Class
The era of Samurai is ended by the Meiji Restoration, in the year 1868. -
Osaka University is founded
On 1 May, 1931 Ogata Kōan (a famous samurai and rangaku scholar), founded Osaka Imperial University or Osaka University. His students would often go here.
