Minamoto Yoritomo creates a new government in 1192, where samurai would rule Japan for 700 years.

Musashi was born in 1584, and was known as one of the greatest and most famous swordsman. He was a teacher of the Way of the Sword, while also being a ronin. Musashi won all 61 of his duels.

The Japanese tried to invade Korea to eventually invade China in 1592. Another attempt was made in, 1597 but neither were successful. Some famous samurai generals, that were included in these invasions were:
- Katō Kiyomasa
- Konishi Yukinaga
- Shimazu Yoshihiro

In the 1600's master less samurai were called, ronin. They caused minor issues.

The Battle of Sekigahara was the most important battle, in the history of Feudal Japan. It took place on October 21, 1600.

The Tokugawa Shogunate defeats the Toyotomi clan at a summer campaign, in the Siege of Osaka, in 1616. This also marks the end of the war period in Feudal Japan

Miyamoto Musashi died on June 13, 1645.

The era of Samurai is ended by the Meiji Restoration, in the year 1868.

On 1 May, 1931 Ogata Kōan (a famous samurai and rangaku scholar), founded Osaka Imperial University or Osaka University. His students would often go here.
