    When the redcoats got to Lexington Massachusetts in the town they had saw seventy minutemen waiting for them wearing muskets. One of the commanders of the redcoat told the minutemen to laid down their weapons but instead someone had fired a shot resulting in the redcoats retaliating back against the minutemen.
  • Battle of Concord

    Battle of Concord
    The British men felt stupid because when they got there already there were 3000-4000 of minutemen assembled. It became a slaughter and bloody battle because the minutemen began shooting at them and dozens of redcoats began to fall.
  • The Battle of Bunker Hill

    The Battle of Bunker Hill
    It was the deadliest battle because 450 minutemen died and the redcoats had a 1000 dead. The redcoats finally gave up before leaving how many people had died.
  • Battle of New York

    The Americans surrendered against the British and some were taken down in defeat. The battle helped the British win by killing and capturing a lot of Americans they ended up taking over Brooklyn for a couple of years until they finally surrendered.

    Washington ordered his army to fight and go towards Trenton. The American forces decided to attack the hessians by doing a surprise attack so they wouldn't be prepared. But when the hessians came out they decided to fight back even if many were falling down.

    Marquis De Lafayette decided to fight in the battle of Brandywine and was known to be one of the most important and responsible leaders. During the fight he had been wounded so his men had no choice but to retreat. He had been in charge of everything including his men's safety. Since he was well trusted, Washington had asked him to go with him and lead the battle. He and other men had put their life on risk going without eating and other things.

    It was one of the biggest victories of the revolutionary war because that's when the British surrendered. General John Burgoyne surrendered at Saratoga since his soldiers didn't mean up with him because they were covering up Philadelphia so he had no choice.

    The armies were fighting to stay alive without any supplies. a lot of soldiers had died around 2000, the remaining decided to stay at Valley Forge holding the fort. They had stayed strong even though they were weak.

    It was Washington's second victory but many of his men had been killed and injured. Since they were stuck in the fog they had made a big mistake thinking one of the men was the British so they had fired on them which resulted into a mess that made both of them break away.

    The battle of Yorktown was one of the longest, it had lasted about twenty days. The Americans and The French had the most armies and the British was left with so little. Cornwallis kept on surrendering since he knew he wouldn't win the battle, he had asked Washington to do things for him but to only be rejected. Cornwallis finally gave in and agreed to Washington and the battle came to an end.

    The treaty of Paris was a signature to make peace between the British and make America as a free nation. America had tried to make deals with passing a lot of things such as rights.
