Binding Bricks
The company introduces it's famous plastic building bricks. Models with four and eight studs are released. This becomes the most important toy to their business and brand. -
LEGO Bricks
A new brand name is created and they begin selling more. They are called "LEGO Mursten". Which translates to LEGO bricks. Name LEGO is printed inside all bricks. Apply for trademark in Denmark and are accepted. -
LEGOLAND
The new attraction area opens its gates. Many customers come, 625,000 in first season. Very successful park. -
Minifigures
The common and famous LEGO figures are created. They are made with movable arms and legs and are very popular among customers. -
Brick Logo
The brick logo is developed and looks very similar to today's. They went through many different looks and decide to stick with the famous red and yellow and white design with bubble letters -
The LEGO Website
During the age of the internet, they launch a website. www.lego.com is created and helps promote business and toys. -
Brand Statement
They create a new brand statement "Play On". This is replacing their past one "Just Imagine...". This promotes their idea of focusing on kids and imagination. -
75th Anniversary
The company celebrates 75 years of business. They are thriving and have about 2.6 million members. -
