    The newly built woodwork shop, "Billund Woodworking and Carpenter's Shop", which eventually evolves into the building where LEGO will be founded. Ole Kirk Christiansen bought the store and started to pursue his envisions. Shortly after, the store burned down and LEGO was forced to rebuild three times.

    Because of the depression, Ole Kirk's business almost went bankrupt. With a lack of carpenter's, the company produces many wooden toys. This helped bring the company out of bankruptcy and increased the size of business.

    Ole Kirk purchased the first plastic melding machine that began to produce plastic lego pieces. At first, people believed that the plastic toys were never good enough to replace the honest wooden toys of the time. However, Ole Kirk set high standards and these toys seemed to be the only exception for the dislike of plastic toys.

    Lego began producing new and innovative the interlocking bricks, and they were named "Automatic Binding Bricks". These bricks were largely influenced on the patent Kiddicraft Self-Locking Bricks,
    The bricks were originally originally manufactured to resemble the traditional stack of wooden blocks that locked together by the rounded studs on top and a hollow rectangular bottom.

    The first ever film about Lego is shot. Photographer is Christian Lund filmed this movie with no sound and in a black and white setting. This was also the time that Lego met its big peak because Lego's plastic toys made up all plastic toys purchased.

    Lego decided to change their older models into a modern brick design, but it took another five years to find the right material to make the products. For example, one of the most popular sets that came out at this time included the Indiana Jones set. The set had cars, snakes, and mini-figures that resembled the main characters in the movie.
