Einstein's Arrival
Einstein was a scientist that made major breakthrough's in math and science and helped the US against Nazi Germany. This happens many times with Nazi scientists who help us develop technology to defeat the Germans like Von Braughn had helped with rockets. -
Germany invades Poland
Germany Invades Poland which causes France and England to declare war Germany, effectively creating the beginning of the second World War -
Germany Bombs Britain
Germany starts to bomb Britain as the title says, but this causes them to reach out for allied help in which the United States offers equipment. -
US War Draft
The draft of world war 2 called for men of ages from 18 to 45 required to serve in the military if they were able bodied, and if they were required for the war effort. This raises the military to roughly 16 million soldiers very quickly. This generally marks the beginning of the military involvement in the war. -
P-51 Mustang
The P-51 Mustang was new plane put into service. It had much greater operation range allowing the fighters to accompany bombers the whole trip instead just half of the trip (the easy half at that) and had much better weapons. Bombers were much less likely to be shot down by fighters which meant more bombs were dropped, less runs had to be made on each target, and it helped speed up the war. -
Navy Changes
The US Navy is re-structured to be able to incorporate three simultaneous fleets operating at once. This allows the US to enter a multi front war in both the pacific and Atlantic oceans with a third in reserve or as an extra reconnaissance fleet. -
Germany invades Soviet Union
Germany declares war on the Soviet Union by invading which brings the first Allied superpower into the war against Germany. -
Pearl Harbor
The Japanese attack a US fleet stationed in Oahu, Hawaii and cause thousands of deaths, which propels the US into the war bringing in the second major Allied super power to fight against the Axis powers. -

After many losses in the pacific to the Japanese fleet, the US fleet defeats the Japanese in the Battle of Midway, signaling a turning point in the war for a string of US victories against Japan.

Operation Overlord(D-Day)
The allied forces of American, Canadian, and Britain invade the french beaches of Normandy and make first ground contact in Europe. This becomes Germany's first retreat in a line of many, causing the incoming end of the war. -

American forces capture Iwo Jima which becomes a major staging area for the invasion of other islands like Okinawa and eventually Japan. This marks the beginning of a successful campaign to end Japan's involvement in the war.

The Russians attack Berlin in full force hoping to conquer the city, of which they do. This is the last stand of the Germans and if they lose here, they lose the war at that moment and they can no longer fight. This marks the last stepping stone to V-E Day. Germany surrenders to the allied powers ending the European Theater of war. Now we can focus all of our attention on Japan and finally bring the war to a close. -
Little Boy Dropped
The bomb that was dropped on the city of Hiroshima causing mass devastation, saving manpower for the US to allocate to other operations such as later invasions of Japan. -
Fat Man dropped
The first atomic bomb ever used in the world was dropped on Hiroshima, named the "Fat Man", has extremely powerful destructive power, bringing forth the surrender of Japan. -
V-J Day
Japan Surrenders to the Allied powers, officially marking the end of the greaest war in History, an allows America to return to its business.
