Violating the Munich Pact, Nazi Germany invades Bohemia and Moravia, provinces of Czechoslovakia. Hitler annexed Sudetenland. -
Totalitarianism
By 1939 Stalin established a totalitarianism government of the Soviet Union. With this, the government controlled all aspects of public and private life. -
Invasion of Poland
Nazi Germany invades and attacks Poland. Polish army got defeated. After the attack Britain and France, allies of Poland, declare war on Germany. -
German invasion of the Soviet Union
Hitler violates the agreement with the Stalin and invades the Soviet Union. Germany has aid from Romania, Italy, and Hungary. -
Pearl Harbor
Japan launches a surprise attack on Hawaii's naval base, Pearl Harbor, by bombing it. Because of this the US declares war against Japan.
