  • 13th Amendment

    13th Amendment
    The 13th Amendment ended slavery for the African Americans. If the Southern states wanted to be let back into the Union they had to accept the 13th Amendment.
  • 14th Amendment

    14th Amendment
    This allowed anyone who was a natural born Citzen of the US basic rights and also African Americans basic rights. They had to restart the Reconstruction for the 10 southern states who refused to ratify the 14th Amendment.

    This act stated it was a crime to interfear with a citizen's right to vote. This made is so that people could come to the voting booth and not have any fear of getting hurt etc. This was a good out come

    This law made it that federal elections must be under supervision of federal marshals. This allowed people to vote safely and avoid the risk of being hurt.
  • 15th Amendment

    15th Amendment
    Allowed African men the right to vote. This made a lot of people from the south upset which helped fuel the actions of the KKK.

    The Ku Klux Klan Act- Outlawed all activites of the terrorist group KKK. This allowed many black people to be safe from the horrible actions of the KKK
  • Civil Rights Act of 1875

    Civil Rights Act of 1875
    This gave every citzen of every race and color the right to make contracts, to testify in court, purchase and hold property. This gave many African Americans basic human rights.
