  • 13th Amendment

    13th Amendment
    The 13th Amendment outlawed slavery. This made it so slavery was punishable. Many people in the South didn´t follow this Amendment and this led to the creation of the KKK(Ku Klux Klan). This clan would be a group that would target slaves and kill people who didn´t agree with them. This also led to many slaves being able to own land, find jobs, and start to learn and find ways to make money
  • 14th Amendment

    14th Amendment
    The 14th Amendment gave rights to citizens and gave them a bill of rights. This would help past slaves gain rights and protection. This also led to states not passing this and led to more tension. The US divided the 10 states who refused to pass this Law and they would put their military there.
  • Enforcement Act 1

    Enforcement Act 1
    The First Enforcement act made it a crime to interfere with a citizen's right to vote. This would ensure that African American men were able to vote.
  • Enforcement Act 2

    Enforcement Act 2
    Federal elections must be under the supervision of federal marshals. This would help prevent election fraud and ensure everyone followed the rules.
  • 15th Amendment

    15th Amendment
    The 15th Amendment was very important where it gave past slaves the right to vote. You could not deny a persons right to vote based on race. This did not go down well in the South and this made the South mad.
  • Enforcement Act 3

    Enforcement Act 3
    This act was also called the Ku Klux Klan Act. This would outlaw any activities of the KKK. The KKK would target black people and that would scare them off if they wouldn´t vote, but this act put an end to it.
  • Civil Rights Act of 1875

    Civil Rights Act of 1875
    This Act would allow everyone to have access to education, churches, and other public services regardless of race. This would allow for more people to find opportunities, jobs, getting a house and land.
