    The 13th Amendment was ratified on December 6th, 1865. This law was created to help abolish slavery and start to get more rights for slaves.

    The 15th Amendment was made so African American men could vote in elections.

    The 3 Enforcement Acts

    This Act was made to protect African Americans from violence and the president used the military to protect former slaves. The Act was also made to protect any involvement African Americans had with the government.

    Civil Rights Act of 1876

    The Civil Rights Act of 1875 was done in response to attacks and violations against African Americans. This gave people regardless of color access to public places.
