    This Act was made to protect African Americans from violence and the president used the military to protect former slaves. The Act was also made to protect any involvement African Americans had with the government.

    The Civil Rights Act of 1875 was done in response to attacks and violations against African Americans. This gave people regardless of color access to public places.
