    Classical conditioning (1907 -1920)
The Russian physiologist Ivan Pavlov established that this type of conditioning does not involve voluntary behaviors but reflex or automatic responses. For example, by linking an unconditioned stimulus which is a stimulus that produces a response in the organism and a neutral stimulus which is a stimulus that does not cause any response in the organism, the being will associate the neutral stimulus and this will become a conditioned stimulus thus producing a conditioned response in the being.
