CARTER- US Inflation
During Carters presidency the US was suffering a bad economy crisis. Because of this, Carter tried to bring up the economy by setting up gas pump restrictions because of gas shortages. -
CARTER- Camp David Accords
Carter formed a peace treaty between Isreal and Egypt. It took Carter about 13 days to convince the 2nations to truce, especially because they were both from 2 different religions: Isreal was mostly of Jewish religion and Egypt was mostly Muslim. -
REAGAN- Assassination Attempt
While leaving a speaking engagement, Ronald Reagan was shot in the chest by assassinator John Hinckley Jr. The attempt to murder the president failed, and Reagan recovered from his wounds and still served as President of the US. -
REAGAN- Challenger Disaster
Space Shuttle named Challenger blew up in the air seconds after it was launched. The shuttle carried 7 crew members who all died during the explosion. -
REAGAN- Iran Contra Affair
A political scandal in which Reagan agreed to trade in weapons to Iran in exchange for the release of a few Americans who were held hostage by Iran. With no authority or permission of doing so, the President still went through with the situation. -
H.W. BUSH- No New Taxes
During a speech at his presidential campian, George H.W. Bush pledged not to raise taxes with his famous line: "Read my lips. No new taxes!" This was mostly the reason why he was probably picked as president but unfortunatly Bush could not have kept his word and taxes were raised. -
REAGAN- End of the Cold War &Berlin Wall
With a powerful speech that challenged the communists on the other side of the Berlin wall, Reagan ordered to tear the wall down. As the wall came down, it helped the Cold war end peacefully. -
H.W. BUSH- Gulf War
The annexation of Kuwait by Iraq, caused the US to start a War between America and Iraq. The war ended shortly after Kuwaits liberation. -
CLINTON- NAFTA
Free trading organization between United States, Canada and Mexico. This made things easier for the countries to trade within eachother without paying, it also made it easier for import and export benefits on goods. -
CLINTON- Monica Lewinsky
Clinton swore under oath that he did not have any sexual relations with his White House intern- Monica Lewinsky. It turned out that he was having an affair with this woman even after denying it. This lie almost cost Clinton his job as a president when the House of Reps tried to impeach Clinton. -
CLINTON- Kosovo War
There became a conflict between the Albanians that lived on the Kosovo land, that eventually outnumbered the Serbians that were on the Kosovo land originally. The conflict intensified and to prevent any more intensity between the two groups NATO stepped in to deal with the situation. -
CLINTON- Sex scandals
When Clinton became president, a woman named Paula Jones brought up a lawsuit on him. The lawsuit claimed that Clinton sexually harrassed Jones. The case was brought up in the Supreme Court but eventually was dismissed because Clinton has not give Jones any damages to suffer. -
BUSH- Sept 11, 2001
A terrorist attack took place on 9-11, causing the massive destruction of the Twin Towers in New York. The terrorists took charge of two planes which caused the destruction by flying into each of the towers.Bush promised to seek revenge upon the terrorist group and find the one responsible, -
BUSH- War in Afghanistan
Triggered by the attacks that took place on 9-11, the US went to war with Afghanistan to stop the support of terrorism and to keep it out of our country. The US is still in Afghanistan, trying to stabalize the country and still battling with the Taliban political party. -

A term developed by Bush stating the enemies of the United States. Bush mentioned our enemies included Iran, Iraq and North Korea. Bush repeatedly used this term throughout his presidency. -
BUSH- Dept. of Homeland Security
In response of the terrorist attacks that took place on 9-11, Bush formed the Department of Homeland Security to protect and guarantee our saftey from any other future disturbances, -
OBAMA- Lilly Ledbetter Act
First Law signed by President Barack Obama which ammends the Civil Rights act of 1964. It changes the times you can file a lawsuit on an unfair paycheck by your employers. -
OBAMA- Killing of Bin Laden
The leader of the terrorists who were responsible for the 9-11 attacks was finally found and killed by the US Navy. Osama bin Laden, leader of al-Qaeda, was put to death as promised years ago.
