Larry's Teaching history
Larry Laudan went on to teach at the University College London and the University of Pittsburgh. He also taught at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and University, University of Hawaii and National Autonomous University of Mexico. -
Laudan's Work
Laudan's most famous work is his book titiled, "Progress and Its Problems." In it he criticized philosophers of science for not questioning issues in historiography and the method of science. He states that science is constantly evolving. That only collecting evidence does not contribute to advancements in science but comparison between solutions of problems are what make up science. -
Laudan Faces Criticism
Larry faced criticism from his colleague John Worrall. John stated in a paper titled, "The Value of a Fixed Methodology," that Larry's model was not correct. He claimed that there was a core unchangeable way of evaluating a theory.
