The French and Indian War
The French and Indian war was the final colonial war between the British and the French. Native American tribes also helped out both sides of the war.The British end up with victory and a lot of land. This war was about a 1 on the scale of pushing the colonists to rebelion. I rated it a 1 because the colonists and the British worked together to defeat the enemy -
Treaty of Paris
The Treaty of Paris (1763) was a document that ended the seven years war. Also known as the French and Indian War. After defeating the French,the colonies think they are invinceable. Maybe getting the idea to rebel. I rated this event a 2 because the colonies are feeling strong and powerful. Maybe thinking they are better then the British. -
Sons and Daughters of liberty
In Boston 1765, a group of shopkeepers started a protesting group call "The Loyal Nine". They grew very popular and were populated in the thousands. They led people to protest against Britan and push them towards war. I rate this event a 3 because this group of people played a big role inpushing the colonies toward revolution. -
The Stamp Act
The Stamp Act is a document sent out by the British that put a tax on things like alminacs,newspapers, and playing cards. They colonies were outraged at parliment for such "foolish" taxes. More events of assault by aggravated colonists. I rated this event a 3 because the colonists feel like ther are not apart of Britan and that they do not have to pay the taxes -
Boston Massacre
This event was taken place between British soldiers and colonists protesting. The colonists were jeering and throwing snowballs at the line of British soldiers. They had enough and opened fire on the colonists. Five men were killed. I rated this event a 2 because a little bit of men were killed and the colonists worried about taxes more -
The Tea Act
The Brithish parliment put yet another tax on the colonies. This one puts a tax on all british tea goods. Now the colonists are outraged and sick of being pushed around. I rated this event a 3 considering the fact that the colinists are now becoming more violent by tar and feathering people. -
The Boston Tea Party
On this day, colonial protestants dressed up as indians and went aboard a brithish ship. They dumped all the British tea products off of the ship and into the Boston harbor. I rated this event a 4 because the colonists have now gained enough to engage in the revolution two years later
