    Triangle Shirtwaist Factory
    The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire, killed 146 workers, mostly young women, because the doors were locked, trapping them inside. The Radium Girls, young women who painted watch dials in the 1920s, also suffered from unsafe working conditions when they were exposed to radium, which caused serious health issues and deaths.
