This was a strike from wage reduction that shut down the railroad. The workers on strike made the cars but since they were on strike no cars were made. This was important because it was a failed strike. -
International Ladies Garment Workers Founded
Working conditions for garment factorys were not safe so they merged with ACTWU. They were one of the most influential unions ever created. -
ILGWU wins pay gains and shorter workdays
They won a victory for a large group of workers. It was one of the earliest victorys. It was important because it was one of the first big victorys. -
