The blitzkrieg was a new military tactic that helped Germany overrun Europe quickly. The German Blitzkrieg happened because of Hitler’s wanting to rule Europe. The impact of the blitzkrieg was that it made Germany more powerful in war. This event happened from 1939-1941. -
Germany’s invasion of Poland
Hitler invaded Poland from September 1,1939 to October 6, 1939. He did this to regain lost territory and ultimately rule Poland. The impact this event had was that it marked the beginning of World War 2. -
Pearl Harbor
On December 7, 1941, Japan sent thousands of planes to crash into Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. Japan did this because they wanted to destroy the US Pacific Fleet and weaken the resolve of the American people. The effects of this event were that many Americans died that day and many of the US fleet were destroyed. -
The Battle of the Bulge
The Battle of the Bulge was the last major German offensive on the Western Front during World War 2. It was an unsuccessful attempt to push the Allies back from German home territory. Some effects of the war were that it ruined the German army and, in essence, brought about the end of the war.
