    President Truman decided to drop two nuclear bombs on Japan effectively ending WWII. As a result, Korea was split into two sections the north and the south. This lead to hostile conditions along the splitting point of Korea.

    Military police and U.N members were ordered to arrest and execute suspected communist in South Korea. Historians estimate that 200,000 South Koreans were executed by this police force.

    After North Koreas surprise attack to start the Korean War, the U.N decided to ask it's members to send military help to the South Koreans to fight off the north Korean advances.
