  • South Korea established

    South Korea was established in the zone that has been occupied by the United States.

  • The Attack

    North Korea attacks South Korea, North Korea forces swept across the 38th parallel in a surprise attack on South Korea.

  • The Counterattack

    Macarthur launched a counter attack along the Korean west coast

  • Chinese troops join

    300,000 Chinese troops joined the war on the side of North Korea. The Chinese wanted North Korea as a communist buffer state for protection, therefore this escalated into a war.

  • Advance

    All UN and South Korean troops have been pushed out. The Chinese advanced to the south, and they captured South Korea's capital.

  • War Extension

    Macarthur wanted an extension of the war, but the request was rejected, so this allowed South Korea and UN to advance.

  • End of the war

    Both sides signed an armistice ending the war.
