    This tradition was when georgia was a colony, it gave money to settler which heads of hold were given 1,000 acres of land (or less). This made a positive impact on settlers in Georgia.
  • University of Georgia

    University of Georgia
    It was the first public unversity in the United States. The school was only open to white males. It did bring a lot of money for Georgia's ecomony and had most of it's population educated.
  • Louisville

    Louisville
    Louisville was Georgia's third capital. Louisville turned to be very unsuccessful. The land around it was very swampy. If settlers would not have moved the city of Louisville our current capitol would probibly not be Atlanta
  • Cotton Gin

    Cotton Gin
    The cotton gin was invinted by Eli Whitney in 1793. This machine seperated cotton from the seed faster than humans. This had a huge impact on Georgia's cotton production and shipment.
  • Yazoo Land Fraud

    Yazoo Land Fraud
    This event was a resualt of the Land Lottery, this was where land lottery companies bribed lawmakers to take land (present day Alabama and Mississippi). This did expand Georgia's boundaries, but took Native American Land.

    This was an event where people bought tickets in hopes of winning land. This resulted in the Yazoo Land Fruad.

    Georgia's railroad industry florished, and began shipping cotton out throughout railroads.

    Two protestant churches denominations that became popular in the State of Georgia.They still remain the most popular denominations in Georgia.
