    Amir remembers how he finished his first " novel, a father -son story set in Kabul" (182).

    During this time, "the Taliban take control of Afganistan" (3)

    After the "2001 invasion the Taliban had been removed from power" (1).

    During July, " the obama administration had changed it's mind ", emphasising the forces to leave the country (4).
