    King Arthur and Henry the II were both rulers around the same time, although king Arthur was written in 1953, the story was set in the 1100's mostly about medieval war. And this relates to king Arthur because, the Saxons invaded Britain.
  • Death of Queen Victoria

    The death of queen Victoria made an affect on the book because at the end when King Arthur was killed, although Queen Victoria died of Intracerebral hemorrhage. Intracerebral hemorrhage is a type of stroke were a ruptured blood vessel causes bleeding inside the brain. But this still made an impact because this would've sparked an idea of the ruler of Britannia being killed except in a great battle with the Saxons. Like queen Victoria being the ruler of Britannia but not dying at war.
  • Women Gain The Right To Vote In Britain

    When Women gained the right to vote in Britain this was a huge event in history, women had finally got what they wanted after years of arguing. This relates to king Arthur because in his time you had to pull a sword from a rock, which the only person who could was a gift from god. But this shows how we've evolved to use democracy.

    BBC may seem nothing in common compared to king Arthur, but really they link up quite well. Because in the medieval times they would ride on horses all over the place just to deliver messages, then this links up to the BBC because the news is like the modern day version of that.
  • WWII Started

    WWII started 1939 and ended 1945. This relates to the book because it is mostly about war with the Saxons, and then it also compares to modern warfare (1900's) to medieval warfare (1100's) And the author, Roger Lancelyn Green was from England which is lots of the WWII was.

    The JFK assassination my have happened many years after the book was written but this still is very relatable, because King Arthur was killed at war. This is sort of like the assassination like JFK's. And JFK was, in a way, ruler of America in his time. And King Arthur was ruler of Britannia.
