Football Against Racism in Europe (FARE) & Michael Chopra
Kick it out become a founding member of Football Against Racism in Europe group. In the same year, Michael Chopra becomes the first ever Asian male to play for England. Unite against Racism & Unity Cup

Racial equality, "A wasted decade" & Zesh Rehman
Blackburn Rovers become the first club to achieve the Preliminary level of the Racial Equality Standard. The National Asians in Football Forum release a report called "Asians can play football - a wasted decade". Manchester City & World Cup 2006

Paul Ince & Asian footballers
Paul Ince becomes the first black English manager to win a trophy when MK Dons beat Grimsby Town 2-0 in the Football League trophy final at Wembley stadium.
Ince also went on to become the first black English manager in the Premier League when he took over the helm at Blackburn Rovers. There were 5 Asian players in the Football League, the highest number at this time. Image courtesy of 'Justin Hartman'. -

Homophobia film, achievements & Earl Barrett
Kick it Out releases a groundbreaking homophobia film with The Football Association. Hugh Robertson, the Minister for Sport and the Olympics, hosts a reception at the House of Lord in recognition of Kick it Out's achievements. The Y-Word & GRT
Kick it Out releases 'The Y-Word', a film written and produced by Ivor and David Baddiel tackling anti-semitism in football. Kick it Out links up with Queens Park Rangers for a grass roots football project aimed the Gypsy, Roma and Traveller (GRT) community, the first ever of its kind.
