Buddhism grows in importance and again becomes the main religion of the Khmer Kings. -

Abandonment
The Thai army attacks Angkor and the Khmers abbandon Angkor. Over subsequent centuries, the jungle grows around and over Anglor and its location is forgotten. Khmer rulers relocate the capital to Phnom Penh. -
Vietnam Attacks
Vietnamese armies reapeatedly attack Khmer forces in Mekong River delta and defeat the Khmer. The approximate modern borders of Cambodia are determined.
