    The Funan Kingdom after 500 years of complete dominence was overthrown by one of its vassal states of Chenla in early 500Ce. The Funanese people were completely absorbed by Chenla as time passed by. 1CE-550CE

    The king dies. A civil war broke out between Jayaviravarman and Suryavarman I, both of whom claimed the throne for them selves.

    Suryavarman becomes the uncontested king of the Khmer Empire.

    King Jayavarman VII defeats the Chams.

    Reign of King Jayavarman VII, who defeated the Chams and builds Angkor Thom, Preah Khan and Ta Prohm. Upon his death, the emprei begins to decline.

    Jayavarman died. His son Jayavarman III succeeded him.

    Jayavarman III died. He was succeeded by his cousin Indravarman I.
