King Jayavarman VIII returns to Hinduism and destroys all Buddhist sautes
to 1294. King Jayavarman destroys most Buddhist monuments and statues as the empire returns back to Hinduism. -

Siam kings attack and Khmer becomes the vassal kingdom to Siam.
Vietnamese and Siam armies regularly attack the Khmer forces in the Mekong River delta and end up defeating the Khmers. The approximate modern borders of Cambodia are now determined. This is the end of the Khmer Empire.
