Deborah Sampson/ Emma P.
Deborah Sampson was a fighter in the Revoluntiary War, but girls weren’t allowed to fight. Deborah Samson thought that she should be able to fight so she decided to dress up like a boy and fight, but right when she started fighting three days later she was a part of George Washington’s army. She was one of the few women with documented record of military combat experience in that war. Her name as a man was Robert Shortleaf she was like that until April 29, 1827 then she was honorably discharged. -

The Sugar Act was passed in 1764. This Act made it so the colonists had to pay on goods like sugar, wine and other important goods. The British passed this act to get more money for their amy's debts. In response, the people stopped buying goods like wine and sugar. -

The Stamp act was every were in the colonies. King George III made passed the act. Eventualy the Stamp act was repealed in March 1766 because the Declatory Act was passed. So in the end the colonists got what they wanted, the Stamp Act reapled. -
The Quartering Act-Katie G.
The Quatering Act was an act that passed by British Parliament to ensure that British Soldiers would be properly fed and was able to stay in colonists homes. The Quartering Act in 1765 was passed in of concerns the British Soldiers were not being properly cared for. The law expired in 1767. With growing unrest in the Colonies and concerns that the Colonial public was getting out of control, a second Quartering Act was passed in 1774. This act only addressed the issue of housing. -
The Sons of Liberty/ Aidan Marco
The sons of liberty were formed in 1765 but they're name at the time was the loyal nine. The loyal nine's soul purpose was to protest the stamp act. They started growing and soon changed they're name to the sons of liberty. The sons of liberty did many protests such as the Boston tea party. They also printed newspapers supporting they're cuase. As the sons of liberty started to pop up in different colonies they began to come together to create the first and second continental congresses. -
Boston Massacre - Parker
The battle started when an angry mob of Colonists started throwing snowballs, sticks, and stones at a group of British soldiers. The British soldiers thought they were being attacked, so they started shooting into the crowd. Three people were killed instantly and eight were wounded. Two people died later of there wounds. -
Crispus Attucks/Bosten Massacre-Jeremy
Crispus Attucks was an escaped slave of African and Native American heritage. He and four others confronted several British soldiers at the Boston Commons House, who then shot and killed Attucks in what was called "The Boston Massacre". The British were tried in Court and acquitted after John Adams fought for them in Court and Attucks was considered a Martyr for defending political liberty. The Boston Massacre raised the level of anger between the colonists and the soldiers. -
Phillis Wheatley - Cam Orr
Phillis Wheatley was the first African-American lady to write a poem and first to publish a book.She was sold to be a slave around the age of 7 or 8.She was released during 1778, and soon married another free African-American man. She died in 1885 of poverty. She ties to the American Revolution because soldiers used her poems and read her book while the war was going on. She even inspired some people to try and stop slavery She helped troops fight for Independence during the Great War. -

The boston tea party was when the sons of liberty got mad with the taxes on tea. So what they did was they went aboard three shiploads of tea that belonged to britian. they opened all of the boxes of tea and poured them out in the sea. They also dressed up as mo-hawk indians so they wouldnt get caught. That was the boston tea party. -

King George the third was not the smartest person in the world. He was once King of English and Ireland at the same time, until the two countries combined to make Great Britain. King George was considered to be one that was constantly wanting to keep wars going with American revolutionists. He wanted them to be poor and reliant on others as punishment for wanting their independence. By 1774, the revolutionists were completely separated from him. -

Cornwallis prompted the British government to negotiate an end to the conflict.In 1780, 5,500 French soldiers landed in Rhode Island to assist their American allies. -

The treaty of Paris was when America and Great Britain signed a peace treaty in Paris to end the Revolutinary War. This peace treaty was signed in Paris, France in a hotel called Hotel D'York. Britian also signed seperate agreemants with Spain and France. The ten articles (part of the treaty) stated that America was free from Britan and that the Revolutionary War had ended.
