It was the biggining of the war they had no confidence in themselves so they wanted to back out they had a little training, poorly armed weapons, and less clothing. -
Lexington & Concord
It was April 1775 where Paul Revere sent a message to the Patriots saying " The Redcoasts are coming! " aftere that everybody became prepared. Many struggles were that they had poor weapons and bad trainings. After that, nobody knows who shot the first bullet. The war suddenly began. Many Patriots died while a scarce amount of redcoats died. -
Decleration of Independence
This one treaty has changed the world we live on forever. It stated that all human are created equal. Also, it gave everyone independence and freedom. The main author of this treaty was Thomas Jefferson. -
Franklin Convinces French
He was the one and only person who made a turning point to the Patriots. He convinced the French to give troops better weapons, support, and clothing. This was when the Patriots stated to beleive in themselves. -
Saratoga
It was a victory for the Patriots! After that the French beleived that they could win the war so they sent more troops and support! This can be things such as weapons, troops, better clothing, and better traininers. This was known as the turning point in the war. -
Struggles
At first they had no confidence then when they won the battle, the French had confidence in them so they started giving the Continental Army better guns, clothing, and more troops. That increased the chances of them winning the war for independence. -
Cornwallis Surrenders
General Cornwallis is surrounded by both French troops and Patriots. On that day he was surrounded and was forced to surrender to Commander George Washington. The war ended after that. -
The END of the Revolutionary War
A well fought war between the Redcoats and Patriots. The Redcoats were winning at first but the Patriots got way ahead of them. This was when we won our independence from Britain. After that Betsy Ross knitted the American Flag.
