This was a really hard time for the people. They were really poor. Some of the pople had too live in boxes. The banks ran out of money because the people who had money in the bank they would go and get their money out before someone else did and then the other people would not be able to get their money cause the other people got it. -

Franklin Roosevelt was president and passed a series of laws. They were called "3 Rs" Relief, Recovery and Reform. The Relief for the unemployed, Recovery of the economy to normal levels, and Reform of the financial system to not have another depression. -

There was a war between South Korea and North Korea. South Korea was supported by the united nations and North was supported at one time by China and Soviet Union. North Korea crossed the lines of South Korea. This invaision was the first act of military in The Cold War. -
End of the Cold War
The Soviets and their allies surrender. The US and Russia made treaty signed in Washington and the US got 2,600 mid-range nuclear missles. The people of Russia were starving and mad so the government had to sign.
