Kate Elizabeth Winslet was born on October 5, 1975 in Reading, Berkshire, England, United Kingdom. His parents are Roger John Winslet and Sally Bridges. Her mother worked as a nanny and waitress, and her father, who was an actor in distress, took labor to support the family. His maternal grandparents were both actors and directed the Reading Repertory Theater Company. Winslet has two sisters, Anna and Beth, both actresses, and a younger brother, named Joss. -

In 1994, Kate Winslet was among 175 girls who auditioned for Peter Jackson's psychological drama Celestial Creatures, and was chosen after impressing the director with the intensity that she played her role. -
TITANIC AND INTERNATIONAL STARS
Kate received from the director James Cameron the script of Titanic. But before deciding, he met with Emma Thompson, with whom he had worked in Sense and Sensibility. Emma, after reading the script, told Kate: "Honey, you have to accept this." Thus, Kate joined the filming of a film produced by two large studios. -

In 2016, Kate premiered the suspense thriller Triple 9, directed by John Hillcoat, in which she plays Irina Vlaslov, a ruthless Russian-Israeli mafia. She described it as a "really nasty and glamorous piece of work". Her next release of the year was Collateral Beauty, about a man (played by Will Smith) struggling with the death of his daughter.
