I finished the first grade in Ms. Gunderson's class at Mt. Lebanon School in New Hampshire. I have a lot of great memories of tumbling in the snow during recess and hearing Ms. Gundesron's trademark phrase:"make a picture in your brain!". Apparently I repeated this phrase throughout the trip when my mom or dad would ask people for directions. "What way do we go?" "Make a picture in your brain!"

We were still living in New Hampshire, USA, and eventually my father would decide to stay with us until 2006, when we would move to Florida to be with family and he would go to Korea. It was a momentous turning point that would decide our lives and living arrangements for the next three years.
