Karl Poppers Book
Karl Popper went to collage at the University of Vienna from 1918 to 1928. He studied mathematics and science, Popper was able to received a PHD in Philosophy. After finishing collage he was able to begin on his first contribution to science his book The Logic Of Research. This book was published in 1935, and then published in English in 1959. This book showed the world Poppers idea of scientific methodology. -
Karl Popper Falsifiability
In 1935 Karl Popper introduced falsifiability. The idea that science needs to work backwards. We must keep tying to prove a theory wrong till we come up with a new theory that is better than the last. This brings us the idea of white swans , that we don't know if there is a black one. Karl Popper`s Basic Statement
In 1959, Karl Popper establishes his idea of a basic statement. Popper`s idea of the basic statement was to use it to identify a theory as being able show if it is falsifiable and if so this would make it scientific. Popper`s way to explain was with a raven. There is a raven in the world, this is a basic statement cause if can be proven by observation. The negative existential claim, no ravens in the world does not work as a basic statement. -
Karl Popper and Evolution
The year was 1798, Popper begins to speak on his idea of human knowledge growing and evolving. Evolutionary epistemology the growth of human knowledge is a objective evolutionary process(Thornton). Popper says that humans have created new intellectual products to that make up everything about our world.
