Karl Popper and his Great Accomplishments

  • Karl Popper (1902-1994) - Paradox of Tolerance

Karl Popper's Paradox of Tolerance is tricking and thin line theory. Popper wrote about how we do not have to tolerate the intolerant and anything that is preaching intolerance places itself outside of the law. This is an example to not tolerate things like murder. Popper published this theory around 1945. This theory had become very popular in today's political debates. • Karl Popper (1902-1994) - Falsification and the Criterion of Demarcation

One of Karl Popper's early and great works was his Falsification and the Criterion of Demarcation. This idea showed the difference between non-scientific and scientific theories through falsification and not just confirmation facts. Popper believed that science theories needed more than just concepts but the ability to be proven false through testing. • Karl Popper (1902-1994) - Free Will

Popper talked about Free Will and how it intertwines with science. Popper even relates it to Darwin's natural selection by saying that every being has a state of mind that can somewhat change itself to better adapt to its environment. Popper believes that not everything is chance and that decisions have a form of Free Will attached to them. Free will is chance and control together. “Karl Popper.” Karl Popper, Infophilosopher, www.informationphilosopher.com/solutions/philosophers/popper/.
  • Karl Popper (1902-1994) - Three Worlds

Karl Popper (1902-1994) - Three Worlds
In 1978 Popper proposed his idea of three separate worlds. Instead of thinking of the universe in one he decided to think of it in a plural form. One world of physical objects like matter. The second world would be the psychological like peoples perceptions. The third world is the human concepts like ideas and inventions that humans think of and create.
