Popper publishes yet another controversial book titled 'The Poverty of Historicism'. Historicism is essentially the idea that what happened in the past was meant to happen and that those events should shape our future. Popper expresses how much he is against this idea and lists endless reason why we should not view the world this way. Popper, K.R. 1957. In conclusion, Popper greatly assisted in establishing the Philosophy of Science as a discipline within Philosophy itself. He created an extreme influence in the field obviously from his own work but also through his students and those that admired him. Karl Popper unfortunately ended his journey on this earth in 1994.
