  • Nuclear Weapons

U.S, Great Britain, Soviet Union, and forty-five other nations sign Treaty of the Nonproliferation of Nuclear Weapons. The U.S tested the first nuclear device at Alamogordo, New Mexico. They struggled with a dilemma:how to restrain the atom's destructive effects while harnessing its vast potential for peaceful uses. The Treaty helped crystallize decisions by countries to cease nuclear weapons programs.

    Nuclear Weapon continued
I would jump into this to let everyone sign the Treaty so we don't blow up the world. Everyone should sign so we have peace.
  • Kent State Massacre

    Kent State Massacre
Four students died and nine students wounded on May 4, 1970 when members of the Ohio National Guard opened fire on students protesting the Vietnam War.
Students were protesting for the bombing of Cambodia by U.S military forces, clashed with Ohio National guardsmen on Kent State University campus. Guardsmen shot and killed 4 students. This event became the focal point of a nation deeply divided by the Vietnam War.
  • Kent State continued

This event deeply divided the nation and triggered a nationwide student strike, forcing universities and colleges to close. I would jump back to stop the guardsmen because they were giving their opinion about the bombing in Cambodia.
  • AIDS

On June 5, 1981 the Disease Control and Prevention recognized AIDS. If you don't know what AIDS are, it's a disease in which there is a severe loss of the body's cellular immunity greatly lowering the resistance to infection. CDC published a weekly report saying there's cases of rare infections. Five young, previously healthy men had the infections. They were indicating that their immune systems are not working. Two have died by the time they found out what it was.
  • AIDS continued

This marks the first official reporting of what will become known as AIDS.
30 years ago AIDS was deadly, spreading fast! Today, we have a chance to end it. It changed the future because you don't see anyone with AIDS.
I would attend this event because I would want to be one of the people that found a cure. I wanted to know that I was saving lives.
  • New Coke

    New Coke
On April 23, 1985 was a day that will live in marketing Infany. On that day, the Coca-Cola Company took arguably the biggest risk in consumer goods history, announcing that it was changing the formula for the world's most popular soft drink and spawning consumer the likes of which no business has ever seen.
They introduced reformulated Coca-Cola often referred to as new coke marking the first of the original formula now called Coca-Cola classic a few months later.
  • New Coke continued

The new return of original formula Coca-Cola on July 11, 1985 put the cap on 79 days that revolutionized the soft drink industry transformed the Coca-Cola company stands today as testimony to the power of taking intelligent risks.
I would go back because I wanted to see how people would be reacting to the new coke.
  • Toys

    Toys
Technology also had a major impact on Popular 1990s Toys with computer gaming systems and the games available increasing in price with vastly improved graphics and gaming capabilities. Plus talking dolls, bears and other similar toys caused queues over the peak Christmas Period with parents searching for available stock
  • Toys continued

I would jump back to this day because I would want to see how people reacted to this toy and see if I would like it or not. It changed the world because people stated playing these video games and not paying attention to the world.
  • Toys continued

The Game Boy was superseded by the Game Boy Color in 1998, and was discontinued in 1999. Cartridges (called ‘Game Paks’ by Nintendo) for the original Game Boy could be used in the Game Boy Color. When the Game Boy Color was introduced, a third type of cartridge was introduced that could be used in the Game Boy, but would also play in colour on the Game Boy Colour. These cartridges (known as dual-mode or class B) were usually black and the same shape as Game Boy cartridges.
  • Green Bay Packers continued

I would go back to this day to see my favorite football team win the Super Bowl.
  • Green Bay Packers

    Green Bay Packers
Jan. 26, should hold a special place in the hearts of most Packer fans, for those that remember it well. On this day in 1997, Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers won Super Bowl 31 against the New England Patriots, 35-21. Favre threw for two touchdowns and ran for one more on his way to his only Super Bowl title and the Packers' first in 29 years.
It changed the view for the packers and the fans because it was the first time in 29 years that we won the super bowl!
  • Katrina continued

It changed peoples lives because a lot of people lost everything! A lot of people were without houses for a long time while everyone was cleaning up.
I would go back to help everyone to save people, help clean up the place and help everyone get everything back.
  • Hurricane Katrina

    Hurricane Katrina
Early in the morning on August 29, 2005, Hurricane Katrina struck the Gulf Coast of the United States. When the storm made landfall, it had a Category 3 rating! it brought sustained winds of 100–140 miles per hour–and stretched some 400 miles across. The storm itself did a great deal of damage, but its aftermath was catastrophic. Levee breaches led to massive flooding.
  • Hurricane Katrina continued

Hundreds of thousands of people in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama were displaced from their homes, and experts estimate that Katrina caused more than $100 billion in damage. The tropical depression that became Hurricane Katrina formed over the Bahamas on August 23, 2005, and meteorologists were soon able to warn people in the Gulf Coast states that a major storm was on its way. By August 28, evacuations were underway across the region.
  • Hurricane Katrina continued

That day, the National Weather Service predicted that after the storm hit, “most of the [Gulf Coast] area will be uninhabitable for weeks…perhaps longer.”The day before Katrina hit, New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin issued the city’s first-ever mandatory evacuation order. He also declared that the Superdome, a stadium located on relatively high ground near downtown, would serve as a “shelter of last resort” for people who could not leave the city.
  • St Louis Cardinals

    St Louis Cardinals
On October 19 of 2011, the St Louis cardinals started the first game of the world series. They were going against the Texas Rangers. The World Series ended on October 28. For Cardinal fans, it was probably the best game they went to.
It changed the world for Cardinal fans because it had been 5 years since the last time we won the world series.
I would go back in time to go to a world series to see m time go this far!
