The Hebrews were enslaved by pharaohs but were then freed by Moses, and led them in an exodus. The pharaohs refused to free the Hebrews, which angered God, resulting to the 10 plagues. Moses then presents the Ten Commandments, one of the foundations of Jewish religion. -

King Solomon builds the First Temple on Mount Moriah which contains the Ten Commandments. -

After the Jewish people were able to return to their homeland, it was then conquered by Alexander the Great -

Antiochus IV
The Jews were forced to give up their religion to instead worship the Greek Gods, they refused and rebelled. The rebellion was led by Judah Maccabee. The rebellion was able to expel the Greeks and later one re-established an independent Jewish Kingdom. -
